The TVM1500 from Shibaura Machine is a cost-effective, vertically articulated 6-axis robot engineered for high productivity in industries such as automotive, plastics, medical, packaging, and pharmaceutical. The TVM1500 features an aluminium extrusion construction, reducing the robot's weight compared to traditional cast aluminium, which lowers production costs and enhances operational efficiency.
The robot offers a reach of 1715mm and a payload capacity of 10kg, making it suitable for a variety of applications, including complex assembly tasks and precise transfer operations. It operates with six controlled axes, providing a broad working envelope and extensive range of motion necessary for high-precision tasks.
The TVM1500 is equipped with the TSL3200E controller, which includes a teach pendant (TP1000-6ax, TP3000), a single-phase power supply, and multiple communication options such as RS232C, Ethernet, and USB. The controller supports various fieldbus options, including DeviceNet, Profibus, CC-Link, Ethernet I/P, EtherCat, and ProfiNet, and offers extended I/O capabilities. Standard SCOL functions like torque control, gain control, interrupt functions, coordinate calculations, and multi-tasking are included, with optional features for pulse output control, conveyor tracking, and vision integration.
Additionally, the TVM1500 integrates seamlessly with Shibaura Machine's TSVision3D robot vision recognition package, facilitating easy implementation of bin-picking automation.
