The 2 Axis YZ Cartesian robot from Shibaura Machine (formerly Toshiba Machine) is designed for high precision and low maintenance, incorporating oil-free seals in LM guides and ball screws. This design ensures no maintenance for extended periods, enhancing operational efficiency.
The robot is equipped with a compact AC servo motor, shortening the total axial length. Models with longer effective strokes expand the operating range.
The maximum loading mass for a single axis in a horizontal configuration is 250kg, while the X-Y two-axis combination supports up to 100kg. It offers a maximum stroke of 4450mm, with speeds up to 1200mm/s for ball screw-driven models and 2000mm/s for timing belt-driven models. Positioning repeatability is 0.01mm for ball screw-driven models and 0.04mm for timing belt-driven models, ensuring high precision.
The robot is equipped with an AC servo motor featuring an absolute encoder, eliminating the need for home position return.
