The 3 Axis XYZ Cartesian robot (Timing Belt) from Shibaura Machine (formerly Toshiba Machine) is engineered for high precision and low maintenance. It incorporates oil-free seals in LM guides and ball screws, ensuring extended maintenance-free operation, thus enhancing overall efficiency.
This robot is equipped with a compact AC servo motor, reducing the total axial length. Models with longer effective strokes have been introduced to extend the operational range.
The robot can handle a maximum loading mass of 250kg for a single axis in a horizontal configuration and 100kg for an X-Y two-axis combination. It offers a maximum stroke of 4450mm, providing substantial reach for various applications. The maximum speed for ball screw-driven models is 1200mm/s, while timing belt-driven models can achieve speeds of up to 2000mm/s. Positioning repeatability is 0.01mm for ball screw-driven models and 0.04mm for timing belt-driven models, ensuring high precision in operations.
The robot is equipped with an AC servo motor featuring an absolute encoder, which eliminates the need for home position return, simplifying setup and operation.
