The Dytran 3166B Series is a low noise IEPE piezoelectric accelerometer, featuring a 1/4-28 thru hole mount and radial 2-pin MIL-C-5015 connector. This configuration allows the sensor to be turned 360° prior to securing for ease of sensor installation.
Available with a sensitivity of 10 mV/g up to 500 mV/g, design of the 3166B series modules incorporates a ceramic shear sensing element packaged in a highly rugged stainless steel housing. Units are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments and are internally case isolated to avoid EMI/ground loop interference.
The 3166B series is directly compatible with the Dytran model 6194 Immersion Proof sealing boot (sold separately). When used together, the sensor remains fully functional in an IP65 environment.
